Athletics meeting to commemorate Cadet 150
Over 100 Cadets from all over Hampshire came together at the Winchester Sports Stadium on Sunday for a special one off Athletics meeting in Celebration of the 150 years of the Cadet Force Movement.
The Cadets from the Army Cadet Force and the Air Training Corps met at Winchester Stadium to battle it out to see who would win the Cadet150 Trophy.
And the winning team overall turned out to be the Hampshire Air Training Corps.
The Cadets from the ages of 13 to 20 competed against each other throughout the day in Track and Field events, including Javelin, Shot, and Discs.
Prizes were presented by Group Captain Mike Remlinger and Vice Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire and Honorary Colonel of the Hampshire and IOW Army Cadet Force Nigel Atkinson.
Group Captain Remlinger said, “In the year of Celebrating Cadet150 it is marvellous to see so many keen young people competing and taking part in this one off event. Well done all of you, congratulations and thank you for taking part.”
