221 Field Squadron (EOD) together with 579 Field Troop are all part of 101 (City of London) Engineer
Regiment( the only Territorial Army Bomb Disposal Regiment).
The primary role of the Squadron is Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) in particular supporting NATO’s Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps.The Regiment also recruits Vehicle Mechanics, Chefs, Clerks and Combat Medical Technicians.
Training:
We train every Tuesday from 20.00-22.30 plus one or two weekends a month. Training opportunities include Bomb Disposal & Mine Clearance, Demolition, Plant Operation, Communications, Vehicle Maintenance, Driving and Catering.
