Unit Role:
Tradition is important to the Army. Parades, ceremonial occasions and military marches create continuity with the past as well as building a unit's sense of identity and place in the community. The Band of the Army Medical Services has a long history and a reputation of the highest level. Like all units of the AMS we are part-time Territorial Army (TA) soldiers. This means you'll complete basic military training, as well as annual military tests including weapon handling and first aid. But of course as a member of a military band, music rehearsal and performance will be your main occupation.

With us you will perform at concerts and ceremonial events, often taking part in high profile parades alongside full-time military bands. If you have relevant experience or musical skills, whether civilian or military, please get in touch - and come along and see what being part of a TA band is all about.

Training:
Training is held every Thursday between 20.00-22.00hrs.
