94 (Berkshire Yeomanry) Signal Squadron

County of Berkshire's senior volunteer unit, with over 200 years of voluntary military service.  Formed as mounted cavalry in 1794 to counter the threat of invasion during the Napoleonic wars, seen service as machine gunners, artillery, armour, infantry and now signallers, serving within the Royal Corps of Signals.
Today, 94 (Berkshire Yeomanry) Signal Squadron is based in Windsor without-stations in Reading and Camberley, and provides a rapid deployment of reliable and robust communications with the additional requirement of resilience.  This means that the Squadron can be called upon to support the government, police and other blue light services at little to no notice.  Previously the Squadron deployed at minimal notice to support the police by providing communications during floods & recently during the Olympics.  Much of the time is spent working hard and training, one night a week in the Army Reserve Centre and at least two weekends on exercise.
We currently have vacancies for: Chefs, Mechanics, Drivers, Store-men, Radio Operators, Technicians, Telecommunications Engineers, Administration Clerks and Young Officers.

No previous experience necessary, we will pay you to train and then pay you comparable rates!

We are a specialist Army Reserve unit that provides vital communications support and information management to the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and Local Government Agencies in times of crisis.  Opportunities also exist for overseas operations with our sister regiment 21 Signal Regt. In recent years, our remit has expanded to include Op Herrick (Afghanistan) providing volunteers in support of 21 Signal Regiment as well as exercises in UN Operations, Belize, Gibraltar, Germany and Cyprus. In addition to having personnel on operations abroad we have continued to fulfil our UK Operations role through having provided support for the 2012 London Olympics, 2014 Commonwealth Games, G8 Summit and Somerset flooding crisis.
We are prepared to respond quickly to situations such as:
• Terrorist Attacks

• Natural Disasters

• Flooding

• Enhanced Security for Political Summits

The Squadron parade at Windsor and Chertsey every Tuesday evening 19.30hrs – 21.30hrs.
